Welcome to our web site!
It has been great seeing many of last year's
customers, as well as many new ones. I am still taking requests for plants, with most varieties at $2 per pot (4")
- 18 pots per tray or 1 gallon pots ranging from $5-$10. I will continue to have Disco Bell Hibiscus and Texas Star Hibiscus
for the next few weeks, their bloom time is right around the corner, as well as Butterfly Bushes. I only have a few Angel
Trumpet plants (pink) remaining, so if you have been putting off getting one you better hurry. I have had quite a few requests
for Mint and Lemon Grass. The Lemon Grass is ready now, however the mint seeds were just recently ordered. It is likely those
plants will be ready in around seven weeks. I will have both Peppermint and Spearmint available. I am willing to try gowing
most varietes at no cost to you for my efforts, so bring your request to my both at the Marietta Square Farmer's Market. I
look forward to seeing all of you there Saturday mornings!
We pride ourselves in the ability to grow unique annuals and
perennials. Local garden centers offer the same varieties year after year, leaving few options in obtaining those sought-after
varieties that separate your landscape plants from the neighbors. The lack of time to start these plants from seed and
nurture them to maturity prevent many gardeners from planting their ideal plants. Let us "grow it for you," so you
can simply sit back and enjoy the beauty of your garden plants.
My family and
I have been growing tropicals and unique annuals and perennials for the past few years
for our personal use and we now want to share the enjoyment of them with you. Annuals and perennials average around 4
months from planting seed to flower, while some tropical-type plants such as palms, bananas, and hibiscus can take 6 months
to one year to germinate. Those of us that want that "tropical backyard" look at an inexpensive price can start
small and enjoy watching the growing process. Let these plants grow with you and your family, transferring these plants from
pots on the deck or by the pool, to that special spot in the yard.
We operate at our home with a small greenhouse and a large yard. This is our second year of
growing for others, and we look forward to receiving your special requests for those hard to find plants. We will
be located at the Marietta Square Farmers Market, May 1 -December, Saturdays, 9 am- 12 PM. Requests can be given in person
or by email.
